This is my first post! Our X5 would not start, they seats would not move, no horn ect, ect. Checked Battiery-shows green (OK). I even put charger on it-wont turn over. What steps should I take to figure out what is up? The interior lights work and flasher?????? Stuck in drive!

If the battery is not strong enough to complete the starting cycle it won't even try. Mine did this and I had to charge it for about 24 hours. After a couple of hours the alarm system kicked in and the electrics came back progressively over the charging period. I don't have a battery tester but if you're referring to the green light on the charger, that just indicates correct polarity, not battery condition (sorry if you already know this). I'd suggest putting the battery on charge for a while and then trying again. I hope this helps

if i am reading it right u have it stuck in drive wel the car wont start unless it in parked because of the safety netural switch , what i would do is take the battery out and take it to a local parts store autozone and have them bench test it for u and go from there.
