How do you remove the receptacle the front ash tray sits in? My wife stuck a credit card in the slot at the back of the ash tray door and it disappeared into the console. I need to remove the ash tray holder to get it out of there. :help
If I can't get it out, I cant buy gas. :nono
If I can't buy gas, I can't drive the car. :(
Please share your knowledge.
thanks,

Do a search on my paddleshift install on BB. There are four screws that hold the wood section of the console down - 2 are ubder the shift plate surround which just pulss up and then there are two under the arm rest. You have to remove most of the arm rest to get at these but that is not reall that hard. It does use torx(?) screws tho. - I believe they were #10 or #15
Anyway not really that hard just takes a few minutes to do....:redspot:redspot:redspot
Slide the armrest all the way forward, then pry out the piece of trim that was under it. There are two pretty large screws there you should take out, I think that's all that holds on the armrest. Then you will see the two screws holding on the large wood trim piece. Next, pull up on a corner of the leather shift boot, which should detach easily from the plastic. Then pull off the plastic part, which reveals the other two screws. That's it. Very simple. Good luck!
