Well, the move to Seattle is now postponed :rolleyes.....Yesterday I put my key in the ignition and turned. It the ignition then got stuck in the (1st or 2nd click) position. All power is on and the steering wheel is not locked. But the key is in my hand. I tried to muscle it around to no avail. I've been reading a lot and it looks like a $500-$600 dealership fix. Just curious if anybody here has experienced the problem? There seems to be a good amount of DIY's on it....but it seems over my head a bit.

Yup, literally. Until this expensive annoying mishap. And no, I am NOT taking it as a sign that I am not supposed to move hehe.

Well, now it is up to Rasmussen. I am going to take my car there Monday morning when they open and hopefully Ty can get me booked up. I know the part takes at LEAST 2-3 days....so we'll see. If I do get it fixed by the 15th then yes, I'll be there!

LOL, yeah, I LOVE Seattle, haven't experienced too much of it. But every taste of it, and I want more! Can't wait to get up there.

Its really easy to fix, and a new tumbler is 2 weeks coded from germany. I can walk you through it, I drove my car without the tumbler for a short time. If you need togo.

Had this happen to me back in 05. My key would turn non stop and i had to stall my car to get it to turn off. :shifty Lucky for me i got home and parked in my garage when it happend.

Had it fixed at eastside bavarian and took less then a week for the coded tumbler to arrive from germany.

It came out to be around $570 after cca discount was applied.
