Headlight failure message after installing new HIDs .Is this a common problem? Or is this just the way it is? Any by-passing change to get rid of message? This will drive me crazy……..Help

i guess they've been installed almost a month. it seems i get the message more often if i turn the lights on with the car not running. if i start the car before turning them on, seems i get the message less.

you can put an in-line resistor to get rid of the message. my apexcone race kits dont say anything.

or the 5w bulb trick

dont do that just yet, cutting wires is not the best solution, i would do the resistors fix before this.give it a few days like we talked about.

I'd rather tap 2 resistors in line, than to cut the factory harness.

The ones I have are tapped into the low beam harness.

ditto. Although it is a lovely write-up, I'd much prefer to install a resistor(s) and still retain the lbf function.

thanks for the help!
