Hey. How bad off is your ACS Steering wheel? From the pic, it doesn't look too bad. Is the leather itself deteriorated or worn away on any parts of the wheel? Got any more detailed pics? Dont know of any places for refurbing the wheel, but I have the same wheel in my E36 (have one in my E30 as well) and I cleaned up and retreated my wheel myself. I use Lexol leather cleaner and conditioner (as directed by Lexol). Just make sure to use the cleaner lightly...scrubbing too much can eat into te leather some. After cleaning and sveral treatments with the conditioner and letting it soak in, i'll wipe it down and give the complete wheel a coat of black shoe polish. It's wax based and colored so it will restore the black color of the leather. After that is allowed to dry, i'll buff it with a shoe buffing brush and it comes out looking almost brand new. Just don't get the shoe polish on any good clothes....it dfinitely won't wash out...

If you touch it when it's wet then Yes. After it has dried and is properly buffed it won't bleed off onto your hands though. It's wax based so the color isn't affected by water/moisture. I've used this technique for the past 5-6 years and have never had a problem with color bleeding onto my hands...
