stevesbmw 09-08-2007, 04:58 AM Good luck with the search! That is unfortunate for you and your business.
NollieStylz 09-08-2007, 06:21 AM That's some ballsy shit to jack a car straight off the lot. No security cameras on there???
I'll keep my eyes peeled for the car, they better not desicrate this beauty of a vehicle!!!
Veedubbvr6 09-08-2007, 06:45 AM Wow! That sucks.... I'll be on the lookout as well. Hopefully the person gets caught.
autowaune 09-08-2007, 10:54 AM It just happens to be my sheer luck, I had my front fence tore down temporarily because I am having my landscape redone.
My surveillance wasnt active... but it definitely is now!
Normally I keep the more expensive cars locked up in my shop, but all my bays were full on the lifts and there was other more expensive cars in my other bays.
I feel really stupid as well, it was just a few weeks ago a dealership that is 1 business down from mine was also broke into, keys were stolen as well as stereo systems, but due to their fence system, no cars were stolen.
It was completely caught on surveillance, but it did no good.

otgixxer 09-08-2007, 11:54 AM That really sucks man, I will keep my eyes out. Seriously though.. who the Fuck steals an m6 ?
mitchelrl 09-08-2007, 11:57 AM was the car driven away or flatbeded?
Scud Runner 09-08-2007, 11:59 AM Who steals an M6??? It's not exactly a VW beetle, that's a hot f-ing car. I'm sure if I was cracked out I would steal an M6. Sucks to hear about that.

Yeah I gotcha.
autowaune 09-08-2007, 12:32 PM What upsets me the most is that I live right out back of my shop, not even 15 yards back, and I didnt hear a thing... :confused
808AWD325xi 09-08-2007, 02:51 PM It probably wasn't meth heads...most likely the car has already left the port and is destined for asia or the middle east.
deafboy 09-08-2007, 04:38 PM Thats a great looking car....
I doubt I will see it up in this area, but I will def keep my eyes peeled...
jrhaile 09-09-2007, 02:12 AM Can you blame them for stealing it? :rofl jesus that thing is f'in sexy!
SeattleBMW325i 09-09-2007, 02:44 AM who steals a car with a vanity plate?? Good luck finding it, but I don't think you're going to, someone who steals a car like that probably isn't goin for joyrides, too easy to get caught
MyMach5 09-10-2007, 10:40 AM It probably wasn't meth heads...most likely the car has already left the port and is destined for asia or the middle east.
Probably right. Someone, somewhere wanted a low milage M6.
There is almost nothing worse than the feeling in your gut when something has been stolen from you. I'm sorry to hear about this.
OregonAlpine 09-10-2007, 01:39 PM yeah i agree...probably on a ship already.
autowaune 09-10-2007, 01:44 PM So far, to my knowledge, there has been no sign of the M6. Today I am going to go over to a neighbor business of mine, whos car lot was busted into, but no cars were stolen, just keys and stereos, to see if he found any information on who broke into his place.
bfowler 09-10-2007, 02:14 PM sonofa...that makes me sick. such a gorgeous car. and you know the insurance company will try and give him like 4k for too.....
i hope whoever stole that gets caught. i will look for it in, even though im in PDX
cramer 09-10-2007, 03:00 PM Saw that car at the Griot's M Car day, flawless condition.
I'll keep my eyes open for it, it's hard to miss.
M3isgod 09-11-2007, 09:22 PM keep my eyes open too
sorry to hear that, but if I was to steal a car that would be one too
otgixxer 09-12-2007, 11:55 AM Still haven't found it?
autowaune 09-13-2007, 01:51 PM ok, wow, a state trooper just came to notify me that the car was found. He didnt notify me of exactly "when and where" it was found, other than "it was close to one of my mechanics homes" - treating me with a bad attitude as if he is a suspect.
I highly doubt that he would have taken the car, he wouldnt have any reason to do so, even if he did, knowing how smart he is, the car wouldnt have ever been found.
He is actually a mechanic that works for me on call, and only on call for domestic cars, he has no taste in imports, at all...
I am pissed...
Veedubbvr6 09-13-2007, 01:58 PM At least they found your customer's car though.
How far away did it end up being from the shop? What kind of condition is it in now?... assuming the trooper gave you some sort of details....

....Details.
sandusk 09-13-2007, 03:38 PM I am from Gig Harbor.....Where is your shop?
otgixxer 09-13-2007, 03:46 PM I am from Gig Harbor.....Where is your shop?
I am from gig harbor, where is your house?
autowaune 09-14-2007, 01:32 PM I wasnt given much details as far as any damaged. The trooper told me that it was "found near one of my mechanics homes"
not knowing "how close" to my mechanics house, but he lives up in Port Orchard.
I guess if I were to live in Tacoma and the car were to be found in Tacoma, it would be considered "close to my house"
My shop is off of Purdy Drive in Gig Harbor. My house is right out back.
abbot555 09-14-2007, 04:51 PM Wow at least it was found.
Keep us updated !

Excidium28 09-17-2007, 01:00 AM How would you steal an M6 in the first place, wouldnt you need a key? Only other way is to tow it?

I remember seeing a feature story on that bird -- the local community actually donates money to cover the cost of the chips it steals.
cbouchez 09-17-2007, 02:54 AM I'm glad you got her back.
