so you feel pretty confident that 18 x8.5" BBS RGR with 22mm offset will be nice on the car...it will fit...if so I am stoked !! Can you recommend a tire size for my setup ? I don't like rub...but also my car has a 6cyl motor in it...so it has power...meaning too skinny of tire isnt good either...

8.5 in the rear is definately doable. With 22et though you might have some problems. You may have to roll the fenders a little. Mine are pretty much there with an 18et offset at 8" wide. The wider you go the less offset your gonna need. My friend right now (I think) is running 8.5 in the rear but he has a 15et offset...

true ? half true ? bad news for me ?

18x8.5 will fit for sure. I ran an 18x8.5 et 13 on the rear with tires ment for an e36 and they fit no problem. its the front you have to be concerend about. et20 for an 8" wheel is just right. .5" wider wheels add 12.7mm to the width of the wheel, or 6.x on the inside and outside. I think at et22 you would be fine as long as you have some negative camber. a stock car will have issues.

what tire sizes were you looking at getting?

are you buying the wheels new?

I run on 235x35x18 - this size is unique and expensive between Pirelli and BF Goodrich....best bet you can also go with a 225x35x18 which is widely available, also to clear your rear for sure - the tire will stretch a bit but it would look very aggresive

I had my rear rolled for sure but the 235 has good gap regardless rolled or not.

Here is a link, scroll down & look for Cramer's Black M3 with 18' BBS RGR-s on 225 x 35 x 18 rears

That's a lot of god news and much appreciated help indeed ! The tires I will probably run will be some kind of Nittos as I have a partiala sponsorship there due to BMWCCCA CLub race car. I will check and see their sizes in the 555 and Invo. A bevelled side edge would help a little bit yes ? As opposed to a really square edge I think. I aquired the rims as new from a friend...they are flawless. The car is Hennarot. Should look nice. I do have camber plates and coilovers so that will help...I just dont want to have to by the EVO3 front fenders right now if I don't have to...eventually yes....prob will. Howdoes 18 vs 17 affect ride and handling etc...?
