View Full Version : Bumper Reflectors (how to fix them?)

So I am pumping gas and notice the back bumper reflector (the round reflectors on the sides of the bumper) is partially inside the bumper.

It's not totally detached from it, it looks like someone took their finger and pushed one side of the reflector in. The other side of that same reflector is still attached, just one side is pushed in a little. How do I push (or pull?) it back out to make it flush with the bumper again?

From what I can tell, I can't get inside the bumper in any way, so I have no idea how to get to the back side of the reflector to push it back out to make it flush with the bumper.

Thanks in advance!

Warranties cover all mechanical defects. A reflector coming off isn't really mechanical, it's more "damage" than anything. And last I checked, if you are involved in an accident, the BMW dealer doesn't fix your car as part of warranty coverage. I'm bringing in the car for repair at the facility I bought it at, I'm hoping they will fix it while they fix other preexisting problems the car has had since I bought it

I wish I could suction cup it and pull it back flush with the bumper, but have no idea what to use to do that.

I completely agree. I'm going to make another thread on what good extended warranties are out there.

Take off the rear wheel. Remove the plastic bolts holding the wheel well lining, line up the reflectors, and hot glue that bastard on.
