Anyone out there know if wheel adaptors are a wise choice, since finding wheels with the correct offset seems to be very limited. Also if you know of a link that may sell them pass it on.
Thanks

ekks, i wouldn't trust those 4 to 5 lug adaper plates......most i've seen look way to weak cuz there's gonna be an enourmous amount of force put on the adaper plate and bolts.

i think shear force or something, i dunno [nic is doing a mechanical engineer major, so he should have more insight on this than me: i was in asu's aerospace engineering program for a few semesters but switched majors]

I would not advice it unless you change hubs and everything. The best way to do it is using very good spacers like the ones mada by H&R and BMP. They are very light, magnesium and aluminium alloy, and very strong. Recommended by me and Porsche and BMW tuners like IDING Power

Here's the Right way to do it:

Guys in Germany have taken stock round pieces of steel or billet alluminum and lathed them down to match the stock hubs. Then you can drill and tap mounts for any wheel lug pattern you want. Of course you run into the problem of changing brakes and stuff. They seem to use Porsche S4 brakes because they are totally crazy and have insane amounts of money. S4 is not a car, but the type of brake.

here are some pics:

on the lathe.

one blank and one drilled

Porsche S4 calipers and rotors.

If only we all had this kind of money. I'm thinking about creating my own hub blanks for sale. But I don't think there is much of a market for them.

dam, those are nice.....but must take a long long time to make just one........unless u used one of those automatic computer milling machines (i got to see some at asu......man i wish i had one of those in my garage :D ......maybe when i win a powerball)

what about using the 2002 brakes? they had 4 piston calipers and vented rotors.....

Back home I could have had something like that. i'll have to call my uncle and ask him for a "little favor", jejejeje
