Try the site understeer.com they sell a kit for that and have some good diy "threads." otherwise u can ask them via email or phone. Tell me how it goes, im planning on doin it when i get new headlights with ae's obviously. GL

I'm not positive, but I think the majority of angel eyes are like fluorescent lights (they are either on or off, can't be 'dimmed'). If they have a ballast with them, it won't be good to give them the same signal as your dome light gets. It needs to be 12v or nothing. Same reason nice HID ballasts have low voltage shutoff circuits. It's not good for them to have less than 12v.

Just my input

yes, but on OEM rings, there are no ballasts. On the majority of aftermarket, there are (Umnitza). So yes, it would work on stock eyes with either a bulb or LED, but not otherwise.

Look at the E46 DIY Stickey at the top of the page.
I did a whole DIY on Remote Angel eyes controlled VIA courtesy lights.
Habbie just added to the stickey on the top of the page.
Good luck, PM me if you need help

not going to lie but this mod sounds pointless

the easiest way to do this is find the interior lights wire and then buy a relay wich you will have to connect the interior lights, +12v cont. power and your angel eyes 'on' wire. once the interior lights come on, the relay gives a signal to your angel eyes to come on.

is there a wire for this under the hood instead of the interior/"

like tap into the fuse for interior lights?
