e36?

Loosen up the three nuts on the strut mount. be sure to get them back far enough as any pre-tension will result in more difficulty adjusting.
If the car is weighted on all 4's, you'll need some 'encouragement' to move them around either a small pry bar or a large screwdriver in the built-in slots of the plates will help. get too aggressive and you'll bend/scratch your strut towers, so be aware of what you're prying on!

If they have been in place for a while, they can take a set (bend into position) and be difficult to move. In this case, jack the corner of the car up to take the suspension load off and you should be able to grab the strut and move it however you choose if the plate nuts are loose.

A little penetrating lube will help and some anti-seize before assembly probably would have helped too.

They are not as good as some other camber plates, but they ARE better than the non-adjustable OE parts. :)

Hope that helps.
Cheers,
Chet
