search... this has been discussed lots.

But, since you asked... taping with blackout tape is easiest. pick it up at your local autoparts store for like 5 bucks a roll.

tape. Im gonna tape mine on wednesday. Its temporary so you can just take it off if you dont like it

Just use black lectrical tape. But im shure the hardware store carries many a color to suit your tastes:)

not realy if you do it right. Just dont park in the sun much, and try and get any air bubles out while applying. If youve got steady concise hands, i think it will look ok till you decide you hate it or its worth painting and never going back

If you plan on taping.. I suggest buying the black out tape. Most electrical tapes are cheap and will easily peel off. buying quality electrical tape would be only a couple of dollars cheaper... but the black out tape is wider and will cover most areas better...

Buy new clips, pop the trim off, sand, prime, paint, pop trim on. I promise you won't go "Man, that chrome just looked so GOOD."

You can usually get it at any automotive store.. usually with the decals and pinstriping.

+1 on the taking them off and painting though.
