I returned from vacation tonight to find my 2001 530i beeping. The sound is two beeps that repeat every seven seconds. It seems to be coming from the center console.
It seems to drive normally and there is no warning displayed. The car has a "Low OBC" so it's not a reminder. I disconnected the battery for about an hour, but the beeping returned.
Any ideas?

Parking Brake on?
Thanks for the reply, but, no, the parking brake is not on. I did drive it and the beeping continued.
I guess I should add that the beeping continues whether the car is running, stopped, or off with the key in the ignition or out of the ignition.

I hope so. At least that's what I plan to do.

Problem solved. I'm embarrassed to say that I found a pager in my car that was beeping. Since it is a co-worker's pager I didn't recognize the beeping. :embarrasm

Pager!?
Those things still exist?
What is your co worker doing with a pager? LoL!
Thanks! My wife and I had a good laugh!
