Calling Josh Sirota to the white courtesy telephone! Car looked great out there today. If you'd like any of the pics in hi-res, just right-click the image, choose "View Image" (in Firefox, sorry I don't know what to pick in another browser). Change the word "images" in the URL to "full" and you'll get the full-res image.
Was lots of fun watching many short races with a big variety of cars.

That guy gave me a lot of highlights in that turn ;-). From going waaaaay wide to locking up the fronts on every other lap. I think in that one he wanted to see just how high the berm could launch him.

I did some research on that car after I saw it last year at Laguna Seca.
It's based on a 1970 Mercury Cyclone. Though there's little (any?) left of that car in the one you see in the photo.
Here's more info on it:
http://www.robisonracing.com/ (scroll down a bit)
It's a beast -- check out the lap times they list.
I have a cool photo of it from Laguna here:

I saw this run at Portland a couple of years ago. Scary fast. If the The Punisher was a racer....

That thing is awsome.. I see a hard intercoor pipe going into the carb so I'm quessing it's boosted as well... or maybe just the intake..

I don't believe it's boosted.
Here are some great photos of it "under construction":

Glad you enjoyed it! Great pics. I especially like the side shot in 11.
My race Sunday wasn't my best. I qualified within .2 of the two RX-7s that started in front of me, with a new track record in the process (1:55.3). I raced pretty well with one of them for a few laps, with a couple of passes back and forth, but then my car got very pushy and I just couldn't keep up. The heat of the day on Sunday afternoon didn't help.
I see you managed to catch one of my two big mistakes (the lockup going into 4) in photos. Thanks :-) The other one was a big sideways in turn 2. The car got sideways almost every lap there, but once, it was touch-and-go there for a second. I'll get the in-car video posted to my website sometime this week.
Saturday's race was a lot more fun for me, as I was racing the whole time with the yellow Z06 Corvette. It was driven by a different (and faster) guy on Sunday, but on Saturday, although he had a lot more power, I was able to get alongside a couple of times and we had a lot of fun with the race.
I'm in an all-new class this year and so far we only have two cars built locally. I'd love to have more, come on out! So my one and only competitor (a Honda S2000) isn't as fast, and then he broke on Saturday during the race and wasn't able to make Sunday's race.
But so far I'm 7-for-7, with track records at all three local tracks. And zero mechanical issues. Very nice!
Over the winter I plan to finish the build up of the car, so I should gain quite a bit of horsepower. I'm looking forward to next season, hopefully with more cars in class.
