Does anyone know the thread on the manual shift rod?

I want to try to fit another shift knob on there, and will need to have a thread conversion sleeve.

Seems to me it is not threaded at all, it is more of a slot and clip type of deal. Slot on the rod and the shift knob has a piece on the inside that fits on. You could tap the outside of the shift rod and then tap the new knob for it. That would be pretty easy actually.

are you talking about the bubble shift knobs for sale on 240sx.org? because if you are i am doing the same thing.
