Everything went without a hitch, pic was uploaded into the posting box, but when the submit or preview was clicked, the message "you do not have permission to post images" appeared. What am I doing wrong? Any actions to rectify my sitiuation? Thanks.

Leroy888 03-20-2008, 03:28 AM How and where do I post pics
Leroy888 03-20-2008, 03:31 AM Doesn’t seem to be anywhere I can attach/upload images in the reply box

You need to press the button marked in the below picture. This opens a small pop up window where you fill in the url of the picture you want to include. An upload as such is indeed not possible AFAIK. Would probably require tremendous HD space on the bimmerforum's server.

Thanks wokke,
Thought it would be something simple (stupid question I guess)
I noticed you are selling chips for e34 540 on ebay (off topic I know)
if I am not mistaken and this is you are these chips available all the time, I will be needing 2 in about 2 weeks (1 6 speed manual and 1 auto)
Cheers.............
CW6er 03-20-2008, 01:46 PM Actually, if you scroll to the the next panel below the one wokke shows, labeled "Additional Options" it has an Attach Files option that lets you upload files. But you are limited to a max amount of disk space for all of your pics, so you will fun out over time. So it is better to host the photo elsewhere and use wokke's method, but when you do upload, make sure your photo's are as small a Byte size as possible. Typically, a properly sized photo will run about 80k to 100k and can be as low as 40k but really should never be above 150k/200k with no loss of resolution on a computer screen. The biggest problem is that people leave the resolution of their photo's set to 150 or even 300 which is required for printing, but none of the extra resolution is displayed on the computer screen. So reset the resolution between 72 to 86 when you crop, resize and set the Jpeg quality.

Yes, it's me on ebay. I have them all the time, so no rush :)
Just send me a PM once you need them. I can offer you 10% discount if you take 2 chips.
Cheers
