Hello,

My roommate owns an 02 325ci, I am going to be helping him out with a few things under the hood, as thats the kind of stuff I like to do on cars, he is likes to fuck with his interior and pay someone else to do the mechanical stuff... Anyway, I know from ripping into my 1985 190E 16v that having a very good manual at hand is a must, no matter how simple the job, particularly when you haven't worked on a BMW before. So I was just wondering who makes a good manual for his car. I know Haynes makes a great manual for a regular 190E which when supplemented with the Mercedes 16v manual that only includes the differences between a 16v and a typical 190E works out pretty well.

So is a Haynes manual a good choice, or are there better manuals out there for BMWs?

Thanks,
Jim

I bought the Bentley publisher Service Manual for mine. Think it is very close to a real shop manual. Haynes..... na!

Thanks for the quick response, but Bentley doesn't seem to make a repair manual for the 02 325... I think they stopped with the e36. Haynes does, but it seems to cover a lot more than just his car...

Any other suggestions?
Thanks,
Jim
