ive searched but since im going to be dong a build anyway thought i might start my thread. starting out what engine do you think will fit and be the best bang for the buck? im putting it in either an e30 318is or 325i and was wondering which one is going to be easier.

Totally depends on your goals. Do you want a LOT of horsepower? Then turbo the M20. Want a good daily engine? Drop in an S50 or M50. Best bang for buck dollar for dollar horsepower wise is going to be either a turbo M20 or maybe an M50 if you can find one cheap and do the work yourself.
