I have no experience whatsoever with headlights and need some help..
My car is 97 M3 and it has aftermarket DEPO ellipsoids and my driver's side low beam bulb went out on me.. :confused
I took out the bulb and sure enough, it was dead.
l don't know what generation/version DEPO this one is, but I don't think it's a plug-and-play type bulb.. seems like it's permanently connected to some of the wires..
I read somewhere that you need to get it soldered out, solder new one in, and put some epoxy around it.. Is this right?
Where can I get replacement bulbs(H1 I believe..?) and/or wiring harness offline?

you need h1 or h7 bulbs, snap a pic so i can take a look and see what you have, its best to replace them in pairs so they match both in color and output.
also it may not be the bulb, swap the bulbs from side to side to rule out a bad ballast or igniter and pm me what if anything happened.

When I pull out the sleeve toward the back, I see 2 wires.. but no socket.

the wires are attached to the bulb, its the amp connectors on the other end that plug into the ballast, the new bulbs will be the same and work the same.
