I am considering purchasing an 08 Z4, this will be my first BMW ever owned. Im wondering if the following options are worth the extra exepnse. First, the Power Adjustable Seats, I will be the only one driving it, my passenger can adjust their seat without me making this extra expense. Worth it or not.

Second, BMW Assist with Blue Tooth. I am not one to use my mobile very much so, and I hope my new Z4 will not require any Assist calls, in the case I need to use it, I will always have my mobile. Is this worth the extra expense or not?

How much better is the Premium Sound System compared to the standard one?

Finally, can anyone share how much a hard top runs for new?

If you ever use your phone - you should get the blue tooth. Zenon's are a must.

I'd get the bluetooth and xenons. This is my 3rd BMW and 2nd without power seats - I actually like the manual seats better... I wouldn't opt for the upgraded stereo. They aren't that different and if you aren't happy with the stock stereo you'll achieve much more by replacing the speakers and adding a small subwoofer (what I've ended up doing in all three of my cars - two with upgraded stereo and then the current one without).

For resale purposes, however, I would get both the upgraded stereo and power seats. Especially with my car, its sometimes hard to explain to people how a $57K car doesn't have power seats....

My coupe is fully loaded, if I had I ordered from the factory instead of buying one off of the lot it I wouldnt have gotten a few things like Navigation. Now I am glad the options are there. Power seats I could do without, Bluetooth is nice to have, extended leather is great (I know that is not on your list)

I enjoy the premium stereo, I have two settings, one for the windows up, and one for an open cabin (not sure if you can have separate EQ settings without the premium system)

My coupe has premium package, sport package, cold weather package and M sport seat. I love xenon light and Bluetooth. Remember some of the states are not allow you to talk on the cell phone while you drive. The Bluetooth takes care of that problem. I also wished that the car comes with the navigation. I used it on friend's car (335 coupe) while in New York and really like it a lot.

For god's sakes no power seats....They weight out the ass compared to non powered and how often do you get in YOUR car and are fatter, shorter, skinnier, or taller that the time before you got in YOUR car and need to adjust everything. I got mine with all powered seats and christ I have not touched the 1, 2, or 3 buttons since the day I drove it home. Maybe 1 person sat in the pax seat and they never even touched the buttons on their side. What a waste of money. + 1 on the xenons, and the M seats are killer.
Bluetooth is way cool but only if you will use it. The only thing I don't have on My Z is Nav and I'm not sure if it's worth the $ or not. It really depends if your going to drive your Z in areas you don't know I think. My Z is a weekend car and only goes where I want to drive it, so I'm not to broken up about having Nav, but I do think the cool factor might be worth it anyway on my next BMW, IMHO.

Not sure if you are buy roadster or coupe. I didn't see anyone mentioned heated seats. This is a must for roadster. I thought they have an HD radio option which is nice.

I am planning on trading in an 04 Z4 for an Z4MC next summer.

M-Seats + Xenons are #1 on the list IMO, I dont have M-Seats and the "sports seats" blow. Terrible support, like a slip and slide on twisties runs.

Get the xenon lights and sport package, these are must have items for a sport car.
