I would be interested in knowing any changes to the new model year. I have not seen much in the car mags regarding updates. Most of the interest seems to be centered around the M3 and the 1-series.

I found some info:
For the 2008 model year BMW is upgrading is Z4 Coupe and Roadster range with two new special editions as well as the carmaker’s trademark EfficientDynamics technology. It appears no car is safe from the new fuel-saving tech, including performance rides like the new Z4. For a small price premium, Z4 buyers can opt for the ‘Exclusive’ and ‘Sport’ editions which feature extras such as heated leather seats, a leather steering wheel, new paint schemes and unique alloy wheels.

The addition of the new EfficientDynamics allows the Z4 range to achieve a reduction in fuel-consumption with most of the reduction attributable to the installation of a new friction-optimized rear axle transmission in the six-cylinder variants.

This will be the last major update for the Z4 range until the all-new model arrives in early 2009. BMW will be positioning the new model into a higher price point, converting the car into a coupe-convertible with a folding metal hardtop in the process.
I do not expect big price difference though, because SLK is already priced similar to Z4 and has hardtop. SLK 350 should get HP boost to 306hp, and SLK 63 should be available as well. So hopefully BMW will keep price of Z competetive.

The more important issue here is why would it help the environment if Zedgirl stopped shaving her legs? I might sound ignorant but I can't put the two together. Of course, I am painting with lead based paint between thinking of whitty questions...

Car magazine opinions should always be taken with a grain of salt, but according to the October 07 issue of Car and Driver (2008 New Cars feature, p. 56) the 2008 Z4 and Z4 M are "Unchanged".
