my 318is E36 widows not working . i replaced the window regulator an still is not working. it goes up like an inch an then stop working. any hints on how to fix the problem let me know please

If it goes up an inch than stop an so on maybe try cleaning contacts in switch. I did this in my volvo every year cause switch are underneath cup holder (what a weird place !!!) I bought an electronic cleaner that I put right in the switch (with power off, no key in ignition) let it sit for a while than put air pressure on switch to wipe away dirt. And like shampoo .....repeat at least one more time. Check if the cleaner is safe for plastic. My windows were going down easy but closing them was hell as they were only going an inch every time they wanted. good luck

I'm in Canada so I guess the chance you find the same product is far fetch. Asalco super wash. It's a fat drying electronic cleaner and safe on most platic an metals. Find something similar in an electronic store.
