View Full Version : RFTs need a change! RemZ4 08-30-2007, 10:55 PM Hi, The original tires on my Z4(18" option) are the Bridgestone runflats. I will need to replace them very soon. Has anyone any suggestions or experience with other tires? Thanks in advance, RemZ4 Zulu 08-30-2007, 11:56 PM i have been running the Bridgestone RE050A Pole Position and i am more than happy with them. they get really good reviews and are a direct competitor for the PS2's with very similar performance characteristics.... but the best part is that they are significantly cheaper... a win win all around. just my opinion of course... sure some will disagree, but i don't think you will be disappointed with them. The front can go another 3k or 4k. It's a mixed of 50/50 highway and city. Occassional run on the twisty. Rear RTFs lasted only 40KM(25K miles) and front can go another 5K. yellowzcoupe 09-01-2007, 09:30 AM Remember Z4s have no spare tire. Without RFT, you can not go any further if you have a flat. You now have to wait for help from friends or Roadside assistance. As I posted last week that I did not know that my left rear tire was flat because the dealer did not activate the tire monitor. I drove the car for the next 2 weeks before discovered that the tire was flat. I drove on highway at 80 to 85mph for 2 weeks (over 450 miles). |
