2 days at school and 2 parking tickets! Damnittt!!!! First time was for "hill hold," failure to turn my wheels to the curb (bs but $20 so I was fine with it). The 2nd one today was in a 2 hour zone. I was only going to be there for 2.5 hours so I figured how would they know? Sure enough they got me (my own stupidness I guess though). $40. Anyone else ever been owned like this?

yeah but at san marcos its not a 20 dollar ticket, its like 150, but i always fight an win

I haven't paid the $40 one yet. Any ideas how to fight it? Go and spray paint the sign late night? Or is that obvious?

I got a couple $35'ers first year trying to figure out when parking enforcement actually enforced the lots, and realizing they check very often. Then another $40 parking at my own apartment...

Meh, they're not really worth fighting. Just pay up and learn, hopefully. They're gonna be strict on enforcement the first few weeks, but they chill out after about 3 weeks and you can usually get away with an extra hour, depending on the place. As for curbing your wheels, I'm sure you'll do it every time now :D. I got two parking tickets in June on the same block of Geary, both times forgetting that there was street cleaning practically everyday. I've gotten about 4 tickets while living here, 3 of those being in the last 3 months. I've got a parking spot now though, so no more worrying about that.

BTW, I think I saw you on campus today by the Ethnic Studies building, but by the time I realized it was you, we had passed.

lol the first semester of college i got 2 parking tickets in like a week. plus my school is in downtown so tonsss of cops pullin me over but i got out of em :)

Randy (lkwd318ti) got a ticket at my apartment once for parking in this parking lot next to the complex.. I figured since he was coming over to check out my new car (when I got my 328) real quick, we would be standing right there anyways.. somehow security snuck up to his car while we weren't watching and nabbed him with a $40 ticket. (I think it was $40). :rofl

It was strange cause we were probably 5 or 6 cars away from the parking lot standing near the street. :shifty So lame.

as far as parking around campus, the scooter cops are on the prowl 24/7. can't get away with sh*t. there's no hiding from them. their 3 wheels beasts can do it all. i've seen one cut off a supra on 19th :rofl:. i think their on the bottle... :shifty

Seriously. One took a right onto 19th from the eastern side of Holloway next to me yesterday, pulling into traffic. I thought for sure he was going to get hit, but somehow he got up to the speed of traffic instantly. I looked closely, and there was a Dinan badge on the back :devillook

i havnt bought a parking permit at my school for the past 3 semesters, only one ticket so far for not displaying it(and that was actually during the semester that I bought one) it flips around on my rearview with the windows down so i take it off when im driving and forgot to put it on when i parked, that was freshman year

David, where the hell do I park? I was thinking Junipero Serra because there is no 2 hour there?
