RCC has 3 campuses, one there in moval, in norco, and in riverside. S14 08-28-2007, 02:21 PM RCC?? riverside community college? I can't be an officer with an associates degree, i can however be an assistant manager at schenanigans:alright any state college's in the immediate area? and where is a reasonable place to live near there? i don't want to commute 18 hours a day, but i hear the immediate area around the base is quite the shit hole I know i could be searching this on my own, but BF.C is never a let down for advise by01 08-28-2007, 02:49 PM How far are you willing to commute? Private college options include Redlands, The Claremont Colleges, Whittier College. I'm not an expert on SoCal, so here is the list of ALL the CSU campuses: California State University Bakersfield California State University Channel Islands California State University Chico California State University Dominguez Hills California State University East Bay California State University Fresno California State University Fullerton Humboldt State University California State University Long Beach California State University Los Angeles California Maritime Academy California State University Monterey Bay California State University Northridge California State Polytechnic University, Pomona California State University Sacramento California State University San Bernardino San Diego State University San Francisco State University San Jose State University California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo California State University San Marcos Sonoma State University California State University Stanislaus I think San Bernadino & Pomona may be within a reasonable distance. San Marcos is about an hour away (?). I teach at Berkeley--let me know if I can help with college info. MissLisa 08-28-2007, 04:37 PM Loma Linda University - they're really well known for health care stuff.... blitzed310 08-28-2007, 08:25 PM Cal Poly Pomona is about 30min from the general riverside area. Very well known engineering school. I recently graduated from there, and people were throwing jobs at me left and right because of the reputation. Oogie_M 08-28-2007, 09:17 PM 30 minutes? That's probably without traffic. I graduated from UC Riverside. The city and school have changed a lot in the past 5 yrs due to all the Asians coming in. It's not the crap hole it used to be back in 2000. Smilez@EuroDyne 08-29-2007, 09:54 AM 30 minutes? That's probably without traffic. I graduated from UC Riverside. I go to Cal State San Bernardino. Nice School and its place in a nice area. Its 30 mins from the base. W/O traffic. W/O traffic. what is the living situation like there? will i have to live in a shit hole with bars on the windows just to get by? If i do this, i'll be on reserve status with March AFB, which means i'll only have to be there one weekend a month. with that said i don't have to share fences with the flightline, i jsut don't want to be driving carmel to riverside for my weekend duty! Geoff, i'll get some pics of the e30 a little later, but i haven't done much with it. i've been deployed for the past 4 months so it's been sitting in the barn for a long time, but i do have a bunch of parts sitting at the base post office for when i return to germany:alright ParadigmGuy 09-03-2007, 03:25 PM Seems like UCR is a good choice. It's a good school and there are a couple board members who go there. My wife graduated from there in '98 too. MRMARSH 09-03-2007, 11:03 PM Seems like UCR is a good choice.
