I was wondering if anyone in the Edmonton area has the Peak reset tool that has the 20pin socket? Need to get my light reset in order to pass out of province inspection.

I have one but it's for my 2003 and I didn't bother getting the adapter for the round socket.

Damn, anyone here have the adapter by any chance? Thought it's only 150 bucks for the tool so its not that bad if I have to buy it.

Ya, when i had mine i just took the bulb out, you could still see it flashing a bit, but not as bad as when it was in there.

I know for the oil light, you can just short it to ground for 5 seconds to reset it. I don't know if that is the same for the airbag though.

Won't work for airbag. As far as I know there's no "dirty" method like that for the airbag. I have the Peake tool, but I'm half a continent away, unfortunately.

I love my non-airbag cars :D

Yeah doubt the airbag would be that simple...called Alberta Motorworks and the lady I spoked to said 89.50 + tax for a read and reset, sounds good to me, heading there tomorrow.

hahha,,
have fun,,, my oop costs
125-opp
85 or 89- codescann/reset
still didn't clear abs error
360 for new abs sensor and labour to change it. Alberta motor works had hard time getting sensor out...... extra 65 dollars......

had to do it to finish before the 5 day opp expired for the retest.
then i drove it around and ripped everything thing out of my car for upgrade.
now i'm sure i have all errors on my dash--- oop sucks

Odd, was really easy for mine, simple scan and clear of the codes and away goes the light...haha
