rant
We are exchanging our MD licenses for SC.
My wife was born in France 51 years ago.
DMV would not take a notarized, translated birth certificate from the US Army.
We needed to provide our marriage certificate, her divorce papers.
She now has to apply for a consular report of birth abroad.
Her father left her when she was young so there is no history there.
Who the f' knows where her original birth certificate is from 50 years ago.

And why all the hoops? Sept 11.
We all know that South Carolina is a hot spot for terrorism.

And of course this will take time dealing with the US State Dept.

I'm not much of an autocrosser. I get lost to easily.
My poor car has so many miles. I just stapled the headliner to the backing cardboard until I get around to replacing it.

Well I'll be out of town for awhile but when i get back hopefully you'll still be around and we'll meet up at CMP or VIR then. I'd just like to take a look at your swap.

Followup on my DMV rant.
I received my 3 titles in the mail.
Two out of three are wrong.

My ti title should indicate, not actual mileage since the cluster was changed and reset to zero. They failed to note that on the title.

Our MINI is spelled MNNI.

My wife went to DMV to get them corrected.
First they told her they'd have to contact Columbia but finally did lookup the forms that we filled out.
They corrected my ti. But they insist that MNNI is correct. That is how it is in their system.
MNNI BMW Cooper.
So that is how it will read.:banghead:

HAHAHA that's hilarious. I've never had any real title problems with them except for one title that just never made it to me. Went up there a few months later to check on it and it had been mailed to the wrong address and thankfully returned. Nobody bothered to contact me tho they just had it sitting in a file folder on a desk. I quite consistently don't get my renewal stickers tho, that's alot of fun.

I looked at our MINI title again. It says used. We bought it new.
Back to DMV.
