I'm getting a great deal on 19" Bridgestone Turanza for my Style 95 wheels on E38 - 245/40/19 front & 275/35/19 rear (these originally came on 745i sport models).

I went on tirerack and most customer reviews on there were negative. They complained of high road noise and fast treadwear. However when I did a search by car type, most owners of E65/66 gave it very good ratings and were very satisfied.

If anyone knows about these tires and can share some experience, it will be very helpful.

Any comments on Turanzas in general?

I worked for a bmw dealer for several years and I had many
customers complain about these tires. Road noise was the most common.
IICRC, turanzas were on national backorder at one point which pissed
customers off even more.

these el42 are possibly the worst all season tires bridgestone has ever made... road noise is one of them but its also the dry grip... it fairs pretty well on wet conditions... but if you want to go w/ bridgestone... i'd recommend the Potenza RE960 Pole Position

I guess I'll stay away from these then. Thanks for the feedback.

Any comments on Turanzas in general?

The LS-H, LS-V, and LS-Z are exceptional tires. the EL400 and EL42s are about average. The new Turanzas with Serenity might be the best all-season on the market right now, but they are on backorder last I checked.

I ended up getting Bridgestone Potenza RE050A tires.
They are very very nice...smooth, quiet and great grip.

Thanks for all your feedback
