Trying out my HD video camera (JVC GZ-HD7) at the track last night, got some good clips too bad youtube ruins the quality.

Factory brake pads and General UHP tires not conducive to fast lap times, lol. Was a good run until the S2000 park it backwards into the swamp...
older one as well

The second one is freaking awesome... love hearing the exhaust when you get on the gas!

what does the front end feel like with that swap?
How much heavier does that motor weigh than an s50?
Also what kinda numbers does that engine put down... sorry not too familiar with it besides the fact that it is a chevy engine. Interesting swap seeing that s50/2 blocks are getting more and more rare.
Also what kinda wiring did you have to do on that thing?
sounds great... look like a vicious car

Weight balance is better then stock, car handles very well. It's set up for hoosiers and is about 6 seconds a lap quicker.
Wiring is combination of the BMW harness and the GM harness including the PCM.
As for the red 996 GT3, never got a clean run with him that night but I would have been able to pass him on the long straight that lap. We've run together many times. There was a 997 TT that couldn't pass me on the straight but I was holding him up in the turns that night so I let him pass, I'll dig up some of that video, beautiful car.
We are at ~3200ft altitude which bring my power down ~12% vs a FI car.
Fun it is ;)

Those videos make me want to buy an old E36 and have it dropped off directly at Vorshlag! I love how quickly you dispatched the E46 and dropped right in on the 997 in video 2. Thanks for posting them.

Hey Thaniel how's the conversion going? Let me know when you get to that subframe, mine let go again at the track, broke the multiply reinforced front differential mount clean off the subframe (euro M3 large diff setup). I honestly don't know how the regular diff bolts(the euro diff bolt is huge in comparison and uses 2 bolts on the differential) are ever going to survive(for long) the instant torque these engines produce.
The black paint is a single stage synthetic enamel, hard to spray because you can't sand out imperfections and polish. It's not perfect but I sprayed it myself and I've never painted a car before, took two tries and still have areas I'd like better...
