Little bugger was behind me at the gates, and I thought for sure I would lose him by T13, and sure enough he was just a dot as we exited Tiergarten. The dot got a lot bigger in the braking zone for the chicane, and he was all over my rear bumper through Hatzenbach and Hocheichen. Surely the run up to Quiddelbacher Hohe would see him off. Yep he's just a dot again. Through Flugplatz and Schwedenkreuz and into the braking zone for Aremberg. Dot got bigger. Much bigger. Down Fuchsrohre and through Adnauer Forst he is all over me like a cheap suit. Going into Metzgesfeld I signal right and let him pass. My passenger, the owner of the car, asked where he came from. He didn't even know I was trying to shake the bugger off for some time.

Caught a glimpse of him crossing the Breidschied bridge, and I figured we might catch up with the little buzzbomb on the climb up Kesselschen, but he was long gone by the time we reached Mutt Kurve.

haha...you lost to car w less than half the cyclinders and probably less than 1/2 of the M6s weight. Atleast it was death to a bmw product. In the right hands those minis can be down right mean. + who knows it could of been sabine out joyriding in something other than a M car

I'm assuming this is at the ring? Sorry, I don't know the names of the turns, etc.

I was wondering what this was going to be about, but its good to see that less mass + some driving skills and a great track/road made for some super driving.

The Mini picked his battleground. Well done!

You've obviously never heard of BBR. When you push 307hp from a mini that tips the scales in a completely different direction.

I can assure you that the MINI was a fast one indeed, and riven by a talented driver. Horsepower isn't everything.

I wasn't exactly hanging around although I do hold a little inreserve when driving someone elses heavy car at the 'ring. It would be easy enough to ruin the tyres on an M5 or M6 in a lap. It is a very heavy car.

I believe the 'ring taxis change tyres at least every day if not more often. Some say every 10 laps.
