my buddy with a 2001 saab 95 aero (2.3 4cly turbo, maybe 220hp?) has wanted to race me and thought that he was gonna smoke me, lol. We are both stock. I am manual he is auto. We pulled up to a light and when it turned green I bogged it bad and he got about a 1/4 car length ahead. Once I got to about 4k I pulled past him and when I hit second I was almost two car lengths ahead I didn't even get to the top of second when I let off and was 3 car lengths ahead. It is his first 'quick' car and know he knows that it isn't fast.

Saab says 0-60 in 6.7 for the Aero. I doubt it would "destroy" a 328i in stock form. It would actually be a pretty close race, albeit not 3 CLs to the top of 2nd.

Hmm, I kinda doubt the outcome. I raced a friend in his '96 9000 CSE 5 speed which is the same motor with 200hp instead of 230 in my 5 speed 325i. From a first gear roll the cars were pretty much dead even, but my car is marginally faster on the highway (I'm talking like pull not even a full length from 65-90). These outcomes make sense because he is a little more powerful, but also heavier. You are talking about walking a car with 25 more horsepower by a good amount in your car that is only slightly faster than mine, it just doesn't make sense.
