Friend of mine has a 76 2002 sitting in his driveway, said it ran a while ago and he planned on restoring it but his dad wants it gone. So I may be getting it for free. I do not think it is a Tii but it doesn't look in too bad of shape.
Anyway, I have a 89 325i parts car with complete engine and tranny, would it be possible to swap the engine to the M20B25? Also how hard is it to convert the bumpers to the early style?

Not worth it to swap that into the 2002. Go for a bigger engine and make it worth while

Well why bother? I have the entire E30 for free and I want this to be kinda budget.

I owned one with the M20 for a while, nice ride. I'm old, though. An M10 does fine by me now. There are lots of write ups on the swap. It takes some work, money and time.
