I thought I'd share a potential lead for a nice M. There's a silver/black M3/4 5 speed at my local BMW dealer. It is set to be sent to the auction as it is older than what they keep on the lot. It might be a great chance to pick up a good condition M3/4 in Florida for a great price. I do not know what they are asking.

Dealer info if anyone is interested:

Coggin BMW
Fort Pierce, Fl.
877-650-7920.

The interior is in good condition. The exterior could use a detail. Tires look to be newish. If anyone is serious about the car, let me know and I will check the car out more closely.

I'm happy with my 4 door. I can tote the tot around in it much easier, and it was the only way my wife (who will never drive the car) would let me get a M3, a 2 door was out of the picture.

My car too was slated to go to auction, and they sold it to me anyway which ended up to be very good to me and not so good for them since they agreed to fix all the problems with the car as a part of the sale, and it cost them double what they estimated....

If you do pick up a car slated for auction make sure it's inspected and get them to fix the things that are wrong with it before you buy it, or make sure the give it to at that wholesale price.

Buying from the dealer also gives me a 2 month warrenty so if anything else goes wrong they will still fix it.

imo the 4 sedans look more proportioned and with the OEM spoiler and a slight drop with the contours, just damn sporty

I agree. After owning my sedan i would never go back to a 2 door unless it was a roadster or a M coupe.

I would really be interested in the car mentioned at the start of this thread. I have no kids, so I can't brag, and as of right now after selling my car today, I have no doors either. 4dr M3 is fine with me, and after looking on autotrader all across the country, I'm almost about to give up on the M3. So, any help or guidance in a late 90's M3, even with high miles, I'd appreciate it...my budget is limited...(or so I say)

There are a bunch of good threads on "what to look out for" in the E36 m3 section. You can also check the shop contact list here in the regional forums if you're looking for someone to do a PPI.

This car was available nearly a month ago. I bet it's gone to the auction by now.
