Hey all,

I've got my Dunlop Winter Sport M2s on my stock rims now, and I want to buy another set on which to mount my summer Toyos. I'm torn on what rims to get. For awhile I went back on forth between ACS Type 3's and BBS RC's, and I decided that I'd go with the RCs.

Now I'm not so sure - the Fiske FM/5's are appealing in a lot of ways - the deep lip, the outer ring (a la 911 turbo). They're also forged, although I read that they are not entirely forged (http://www.unofficialbmw.com/e36/performance/e36_m3_lightweight_wheels.html).

I've also discovered the Forgeline RS - I like the style a lot, they cost only a little more than the BBS RCs, and since Turner (in Mass) sells them, I could pick them up myself and avoid paying for delivery. Some pictures of these:

The IFG wheels are nice as well, though they don't look as good (and strong) to me as the Forgelines.

Are forged wheels like the forgeline, which seem to be typically used for racing, overkill for the street? I'm looking for something strong because the roads in Boston suck, and I've already put a few slight bends in my stock wheels.

Any input is appreciated.

with lightweight and strength, but you pay for it (most of the time)..good against potholes, but all that can be helped by not running too low of profile tire as well...
I run IFGs for my 95 right now, and like them a lot (they were my track wheels on my previous 97) they're really light.
Forgelines are great too. If you want REALLY light go with 17x8.5 or 17x8 SSR Comps or Volk TE37s (both weigh 15lbs) but these only come in 17x8 for M3. Fikse's are good too, and probably the cheapest forged-center 3pc wheels on the market, next to Forgelines (but I think these are 2pc). Anyways, all of those you listed, including RCs are very well respected wheels. If you need help looking at styles, I have a few pics of my car with various wheels on my website. CYA>PM3
