I dont think they have a price yet on there kit, and it would be kool to know what 1 would need to do a swap into a e36 m3 without reading threads 10,000 posts long.:)

Vorshlag doesn't sell a kit. They might at some point but they do not now.

As for a list of parts, that is a good one :lol

There is a place in Utica, NY that has designed an LS1 swap kit for the E36. I hear the price for the kit/package alone is about $7,500

Custom headers,
Custom motor mounts,
Custom trans mount,
Custom Driveshaft
Custom exhaust,
Custom clutch line,
Custom heater lines,
Custom P/S ines (only if you want P/S)
Custom A/c Lines (optional)
Custom Radiator hoses,
LS1 pressure regulator,
Custom Fuel lines,
Remote clutch bleed line,
Electric fan,
Heat shielding......Lots of heatshielding.
Wiring, Solder, Lots of time with wire diagrams,
Misc screws and bolts.
Custom air intake hoses and airfilter,
Custom throttle cable,
PCM reprogram.

I'm sure I'm forgetting something

There are differences of opinion on what you will need for the following,
Hydroboost to replace the Brake booster (also modify the brake pedal)
Relocate or remove ABS,
Reinforce rear subframe (only if you want to press the gas pedal to the floor),
wider tires and rims to fit them on,

Since your going with an auto there may be other things I'm not aware of.

I researched LS1-E36 swaps for about a year before staring mine. I'm still finding things I didn't know about. It's not 10,000 pages yet but here's a build log on my project: http://ls1bmw.blogspot.com/2007_04_01_archive.html

read somewhere you can use m3 motor mounts. I think that was Nash's website. Btw This motor maybe up for sale if i decide its more work then its worth.

Better get an electrical troubleshooting manual for your swap car (search and find .pdf for free off of the net), and a set of F-body manuals for your engine year (got to buy those off of eBay ... mine were $90.00 for the 3-volume set) -- you got some systems integration to do, homie ;)

You use the M3 motor mounts in connection with the mounts that he sells.

Did you buy a kit? Or did you figure it out on your own?

Very NIceeee. I'm debating if i should do this. Whats involved as far as getting everything working with the wiring? If anything i'll just sell the motor, but i would love to have that v8 under the hood.

There are probably 100 posts on this subject. It is not hard, but it is the sort of thing that if you have to ask that general of a question you probably will have a very hard time.

That price is sky high. You should try it on one of the LS1 boards, much larger market. Good luck with the sale.

It is obo. I'll take offers that are lower. Pm me your offers. I'm very very very flexable on the price.
