Why did it need a new motor and tranny? Post pics when you can. Not a prospective buyer, just trying to help clarify...and I always liked E38s anyway. :)

Post some more detail regarding the "face lift" and new engine/tranny (I'm assuming a crash). Post pics as well, please.

Previous owner told me he replaced last engine due to sludge buildup fouling engine. Transmisson was replaced because it just stopped working. I believe something called a snap ring failure. Only facelifted because I like the way it looks. I still have the original 95-98 Xenon headlights in the garage. No accidents I was aware of. I bought site unseen. There are some minor imperfections with the body which any 10 year old car would have, bu nothing major. Never noticed any respray or previous damage. Car runs strong. Torque is crazy. When you get the sunday driver in the fast lane, you can overcome with ease.

Tranny had 0 miles when it was put in around 3k miles agao. The engine I am unsure of, I have a call into the mechanic who performed the job in Florida. I am awaiting his call back. I will get some interior shots up soon. Want to clean/detail a little first.

Seriously though, replacement engine came froma rear ended 98 w/65k miles on it. Just got a text from the P/O. Will try to get interiors soon.

I dont see the "facelift" you speak of. I see the 99+ headlights but not the updated fenders. Nice ride, you might want to post up interior pics. Any suspension part replaced, ie. front control arm bushings, etc?

No, I dont. But I know the two shops that primarily did most of the service work on the car. Radiator was replaced as I had been told by P/O. Suspension only requires a passenger side lower control arm. Bryant in FL did the engine replacement, Munich in FL did the transmission, & general maintenence was done @ JMK BMW in NJ
