Ever since I crashed my E90 I've been driving my E36 which sucks because it has no air conditioning and is black inside and out so it gets very very hot but luckily most days my parents let me drive their cars so I can be comfy :) I try to take it easy on their cars out of respect but a few hours ago I was driving with a friend and this brand new ML is sitting next to me and the driver is looking at me like he wants to go but I think what's the point and don't look at him any more but when the light turns green I hear this big V8 roar and tires screaching but when I look over the ML is calmly accelerating at a normal pace. A second later I look past this ML (I was in the left lane, the ML was in the middle and this Dodge Ram SRT8 I think it was (I've only heard of SRT10s??) is in the right lane) and see a pickup flying down the road.

So I decided to catch up and "teach him a lesson" at the next light so as I get to the light still carrying about 5 miles per hour with this pickup being fully stopped since he got there way before me I punch it and pull about a foot before this pickup truck starts to pull away slowly and then more quickly! I couldn't stop laughing since I just got destroyed by a pickup and worse I had gone looking for the fight after he peeled out at the last light, I knew they were making some big powerful pickups recently but holy hell this thing was flying. I caught him after he slowed down and me and my friends gave him thumbs ups and pulled a u turn and went on our way, made an already fine night all the more hilarious.

I just realized I gave almost no details about the actual race but basically I'm still rolling at about 5mph with him fully stopped, I floor it and gain for about half a second and then this pickup steadily pulls 3-5 car lengths on me before we shut it down, not sure over what distance or what speeds we reached but it was nothing too crazy, I can't really stand American pickups but I have a lot of respect for that thing's acceleration :)

You said a CLK 320...I didn't see any mention of a Mercedes two-door, but you did mention the giant SUV tank a few times.

240D is the wimpy one. If you really wanna leave some smoke behind, you gotta add that fifth cylinder and the turbo with the 300D turbo. Of course, the smoke comes out of the tailpipe and it's black, but who's really paying attention

The w123 240D only came in 67hp, The w123 300D had 88hp, and the w123 300D Turbo had 123hp. IIRC those numbers are correct I don't feel like looking it up. CLK320 is a 2 door MB.

Lol glad to see you guys enjoyed it :) I was pretty tired when I posted it I guess but honestly it was the most hilarious sight I'd seen in a while. I checked and those SRT10 pickups are supposed to do 0-60 in 5.2 so even though a CLK 320 isn't very fast a 335i is only a little faster than those pickups.

pickups are getting absolutely insane. I live in the country so alot of my friends are into trucks, I read some of their magazines and theres twin turbo powerstrokes and cummins pulling 350whp and 750lb/ft. Their getting insane.

don't know if there's a SRT8 RAM, but even the HEMI V8 RAMs are pretty quick. those are usually quicker than a lot of normal cars. not very mpg friendly, but if you are one of those pick-up guys then pretty cool.

plus, you're in a CLK 320. you're just suppose to enjoy the comfort and not worry about racing people. I enjoy driving my sister's 2000 CLK 320 in comfort, but not to race people and expect a win. lol
