it replaces high beam relay.

so you just swap and you you have drl? so your using low power to high beams?

yes sir, but since you have a 98 m3, there some other minor modifications you will need to do. PM me if interested.

Any E36 built 94 and earlier is plug and play with this module. 95 and up is not. You will need to add 2 wires which is easy. I have a writeup on it if anyone needs it just search for daytime running lights under my name.
