Hey Everyone!

I have been roaming around here for a while and just decided to make my first post. My baby is a 1970 2002. She's Colorado (orange, lighter than Inka) and just turned over the 200k mark a few weeks ago. I'm only the second owner and have been so for six years (got her when I was 15). I drove the car daily throughout high school with very few issues. I'm definitely a firm believer that they don't make cars with quite the same quality as they used to!

I'm just leaving work right now but when I get home I will bump my post count high enough to post some pictures of my car. :wave

Welcome! What are your future plans for the car?

Right now the first project on my list is replacing the front steering geometry and all front bushings. Then I plan on doing the rear bushings.

I don't drive the car at college, but I have been daily driving during the past few months while I have been on summer break. I have started to notice the steering wheel shake under hard breaking and the tie rod end caps have been shot for a while. So I figure the whole front geometry could use replacing before the summer is over.

In the long term I plan on doing a five speed conversion, reworking the engine and probably adding dual side drafts.

I would like to lower the car, but I've been enjoying the benefits of 205/50R15 tires for a number of years and I will need to widen the fenders before any lowering takes place. Instead of doing the somewhat common turbo flares I am going to have them cut and reworked similar to the older Alpina style racing fenders.

The list could go on with all my plans, but I think that is fine for now. I'll work on getting some pictures up for now.
