View Full Version : Peachtree Chapter Gallery Updated
Shawn D 08-16-2007, 08:15 AM Y'all,
I updated the Peachtree Chapter gallery last night to include the meeting at America's Best, the meeting at Kinetic Motorsports, Street Survival, and the August 12th autocross.
Enjoy!
-Shawn
NOTE: I had included links to the chapter website and to each of the individual galleries mentioned above, but got this:

So fast it couldn't be photographed?
tpattison 08-16-2007, 11:38 AM So fast it couldn't be photographed?
Or so slow the photographer just gave up taking pictures of it. :dunno
Shawn D 08-16-2007, 12:41 PM +1????
Link?
Bruce & David were being smart-asses -- the gallery has been around as long as the chapter website has been. As I said, my "newbie" status doesn't allow me to post links -- you can always use a search engine, you know.
Hmmmm...my car did not seem to make it into any of the photos from the auto-x.
Sorry, but I only had one 24-exposure roll to cover the event.
broke30 08-16-2007, 12:53 PM Lol,
I found it, there was one of my car, I look far to big to be driving that car though....

I like your attitude! :D

I don't like yours, though! :nono

Film? What the heck is that? J/K That's cool. I should probably bring the D70 next time and arm somebody with it. :D

The truth hurts I know, it's ok Jason you'll come out of denial eventually.

Well, no sugar daddy/momma has come along and bought me my EOS-5D*, so film is still my medium of choice. The majority of folks who rag on me for using film can't take a decent picture to save their lives anyhow, so I pretty much let "You still use film?!?!" comments just roll off my back.
*I'm already a Canonite, so any change to my religion would necessitate new glass as well -- not a cheap proposition by itself.

I left some wiggle room in there...

That explains why you were so far off the pace... :stickoutt
Shawn - great job! I even made the highlight (lowlight?) reel this time.
kaamacat 08-16-2007, 02:29 PM Shawn...... I was kinda wondering how the camera was. (I could swear I saw you and it take a bath on Saturday under the water cannon one time)

Hahahah...I hear ya! My wife did get me my D70. So...she is definately my sugar momma. :redspot

I grew up with a dark room in the house...so I completely understand. A friend of mine and I always get into the digital vs. film discussion. There are pros and cons to each! I was just giving you a hard time with the generic response on film cameras! You are just "old skool". :D

My film camera is also a Canon. I gave my lens' to my father when we got him a Digital Rebel.
He's calling you out Jason :devillook
Oh....it's on like Donkey Kong!!!! :devillook
I left some wiggle room in there...
Its all in good fun. :D

I got the exact opposite once - an older gentleman saw my DSLR, pointed to his 20-year-old film SLR, and asked why I didn't stick to using film like him. :dunno

I was able to keep both the lens and the body dry enough so there was no water intrusion, but the camera was wet on the outside. When all the kids were hollerin' for the fireman to shoot 'em with the water, I put my back to the blast and hunched over the camera, with the lens pointed down. I thus got a nice blast down my back and lower regions -- squish-squish the rest of the day!

Off the pace? That was event #3 and I do believe that I was faster than you.

You - 1:01.495 :shifty
Me - 1:00.205 :redspot
Event #3, now was that when you had the bad clutch that acted like a mechanical traction control... :stickoutt
BruceH 08-16-2007, 05:02 PM I didn't think you would pull the records!
I stand corrected that my e21 3er with 140hp and slipping clutch was 1.2 seconds slower than your e90 with XXXhp........
