Does Anyone Have Had Any Transmitions Problems With A 530i 2004

explain? what do you experience?

I have an '06 530i with 26k mi. It had what I consider an overactive transmission - jumpy and restless at low speeds. In stop and go traffic it would lurch forward.

Took it to the dealer (under warantee) and they gave it a frontal lobodomy..... much tamer......they certainly reprogrammed it and got rid of the nervous energy. I will be keeping an eye on its performance in coming weeks hopefully they haven't killed the BMW beastiness....

Could you please elaborate on your problem and tell me if you've since fixed the issue?

As for myself, my car is surging when driving the car. The problem rears its ugly face when accelerating and it most prevalent when at a dead stop or climbing up a hill.

Your experience and/or guidance would be greatly appreciated.

BMWs don't' have transmitions, but they might be equipped with rackin pinions.
