since I am new to the whole OU Campus and Norman in general ....I was just wondering where are the best places to eat, shop, and just party or hang out on and off Campus here in Norman.....also any secrets or advice you have for me to enjoy being here and maybe even save a little money here and there...

Jed and Ryan, I know you should know some....also anything about Campus I should know about....like would help me out during classes....or places/people to stay away from??

Seems like there is going to be lots to do here.......

anything will be helpful

so many bimmers around here ...I dont stand out like I did back home....well the rims and exhaust still make some turn their heads......and the MOFO stickers make the hondas and mustangs around here rev there engines....my girl Celesty laughs everytime time they do it....

Bishops Landing is ok.....I really like the fact that all my classes are only 10 minute casual walk from the Apt....it is quiet except when people walk by...also a smell from the A/C vents is annoying but I it seems to be going away with lots of odor killing sprays and air freshers...I think it was from them steam cleaning the carpets and then closing off the Apt. and turning on the A/C so it didnt have time to dry right....otherwise it will do....

I will be glad once my GI Bill money kicks in....so I will have money to enjoy my time here....

Oh along with places to eat and shop....does anyone know of a good part time jobs that wont be too stressful that I would be able to do while going to school.........well hell nothing will be as stressful as going through Lab School plus doing the whole Army training too.....

Cool place for lunch: Bison Wiches downtown on Mainstreet. Cool atmosphere. Great potato soup in breadbowls.

Great place for drinks: The Mont, on the patio, although it's a little more for little middle aged farts like me, you can frequently spot Bob Stoops or other members of the coaching staff there.

bison witches is awesome raymond! there is also the vista which is on the corner. it is also a bar at night. they have really good hamburgers during lunch.
my friend sarah works at joes tavern. its on campus corner right across from othellos. the deli, the library, and pretty much any other bar in the area are cool places to go. the deli has live bands often too. i know also a lot of people like louie's. i think there is one on campus corner and there is one over here on our side of town but i had a bad experience with them and i will not go back.
fast food, try raising canes on alameda and 12th. its a chicken finger place and i know the owners. very nice people.
there is also royal bavaria on sooner if you like german food, i know the owners there also. they have a live little band thursday, friday, and saturday. very sweet couple. jorge and karin. awesome beer too, they brew it themselves.
i think i have typed enough, just ask if you want any more info. my friend sarah knows all the good places to go. hehe
