I have a problem; the stitching on my soft top is deteriorating very quickly. It’s at the point that my rear window is starting to detach from the fabric which equals a big hole. Being a poor collage student a new top is not an option. So has anyone re-stitched their top/part of their top by hand or taken it somewhere to be repaired. If so what type of string/stitching was used. Any advice would be appreciated.

I used some thick thread while a bit came unstiched during window replacement.

have you thought about going to a sewing store and asking them?
