I know a search would probably help but I'm not sure which phrase to use in the search. Which BMW would be best to boost? Best meaning cost effective, respond to boost, most easily installed, availability of different FI products etc. I know there was a thread about which engine is best, but there's also the rear end, drivetrain etc to think about. Some models have much more available in the aftermarket than others also. So, if you had to pick one BMW to FI, which would it be?

E36 328i. Search for cardcounter. Best results i have seen on a stock motor with thicker hg and arp head studs.

M20s boost nicely, and parts are cheap.

I firmly believe the T41 motor is the best lump for boost...

5 litre straight six, 36 valves. etc.
Buy one of those

Any of the factory turbo diesels can be produce massive torque figures. If you can smuggle on in from Canada...

You have more tuning options with any pre-1996 obd1 car.
