I have had my 2002 325i with 40k miles for a little over a week and this weekend me and 3 buddys took it for one hell of a road trip from Boston to DC and then to Baltimore to catch the Red Sox game (8 hour drive, 12 on the way down due to traffic.. I put about 1200 miles on it from Fri till Sun.

What a ride it was! I definitely noticed a power loss with 4 people in the car but that was expected as we are all good size. It handled amazingly on the highway at high speeds (my last vehicle was a grand cherokee and horrible for high speeds), the road noise was non existent and it was all and all a great ride and a great way to give the car a good test run as I just got it.

Anyways, I am glad I bought it and since it passed this test I can start adding some goodies! I ordered the dice ipod kit today (with optional ash tray moutning thingy) and will be ordering an exhaust tomorrow and then getting it tinted next week.

You've got the same car as me, with about the same miles. Glad the trip went well! (Just make sure that Boston doesn't screw up and let the hated Yankees do anything ugly.)

Glad it was a good ride. Too bad the Sox let two slip away. Damn you Kevin Millar! :(

I made just about the same trip back in June, except I went to a Nats game instead of an Orioles game, and it would have been an even better drive if cops weren't littered all over those highways.

how did your friends do in the backseat for that long of a time period? Im like 5-11 and all my friends are equal or taller than me so i'd be wary of making any long trips in a 3er.

We occassionally drive my car on trips. I am 5 10/11 and in the back I am fairly comfortable. After about 3.5hrs without stopping is when I get really stiff.

I assume the sedan has a much bigger seat than the vert? Cause I look at my backseat and wonder how any normal sized non-infant fits back there.
