View Full Version : My New Ride - The Battlewagon!
Low Level 08-13-2007, 07:47 PM Fresh off the truck this past weekend, all the way to Long Island, NY from Austin, TX!
Isn't she a beauty?

I'm excited to have her join the fleet!
Many many thanks to Geoff G., the previous owner, for a great transaction and for taking excellent care of the car during the term of his ownership. I was lucky to find an E34 with so many records and such attention to detail.
More pics to come - following a good wash and wax!
mainebimmer 08-13-2007, 07:56 PM that car looks great. congratulations!
Itsnotme1988 08-13-2007, 08:22 PM That is GORGEOUS!!
BimmerMeUp 08-13-2007, 08:51 PM Did Geoff let you drive his M5 Wagon while you were there?
Edit: Oops, just read it was off the truck. I've got to pay closer attention.
jermattak 08-13-2007, 08:56 PM awsome! ive always wanted a wagon
kesslerbmw 08-13-2007, 09:00 PM Thats a hell of a car. Enjoy it.
lowell 08-13-2007, 09:04 PM Very nice, easily the best 530 Touring available recently, and you know it's been babied, as there's more than a few years of posts on the car over on .info.

Thanks for all the good words, fellas! I'm excited to have her. She is in great shape - I am just the lucky recipient of the hard work and expenditure.
No, Geoff hasn't even had a chance to drive his M5 Wagon yet, although I know he's chomping at the bit. I talked to him earlier today and he was on the verge of cursing at me for having a wagon to drive while he doesn't :D
hokoman 08-13-2007, 09:33 PM you are one lucky man... i made geoff an offer and i guess he took yours! good thing though, because i quit my job and now have a set of hamann pg wheels in the garage without an e34 to put them on! i guess one day i'll have a touring waiting for me.....
atl530i 08-13-2007, 09:34 PM Very nice Touring. Congrats on the purchase.
Elekta 08-13-2007, 10:21 PM arggh,
I forgot to tell you... to activate your awesome intensive headlight washers system. First turn on the head lights and then the washer stalk and you will spray the fogs first and then the headlights.
Looks good from here...though tough since my elekta is still in cali
ps, I was going to redye the whole rear grey again and catch that cd changer boot cover, but since there is already someone who needs a parchement one, have him find you a dark grey one. Of course if you go to a hard drive system you can sell the cd changer and you'll still have the narrow profile cover to match the other side.
you should tell your pals you stole it :)

Ah ha! I was trying to figure out how to use it! Gotta turn the lights on. Makes sense :stickoutt
Sorry to intensify your suffering w/ the posting of a pic --- tell you what --- let me know when you pick up the Elekta, and I'll give you your car back in trade :D
No big deal - I'll try and find a grey one at the various parts places, and worst come to worst, I'll dye the parchment one.
Haha - it's a great car - I had to go sit in the front seat and listen to a CD today after I got home from work, just for kicks :alright
Thanks again, G.
Elekta 08-13-2007, 10:51 PM no worries
that sub will handle all the phil lesh your ears can handle..
I can wait for the elekta. will have to suffer with the amber package, but when I am at that level, it will no longer be about the visuals from the outside. It will be hill country texas highways ripping past my windows from the inside from this POV

Redfive 08-13-2007, 11:14 PM Great buy. I was drooling over that car when I saw it.
Looks great! I would have offered if it was a 5sp. I may be in CT Labor day weekend & would love to visit Battlewagon.

It will be a 6spd soon :D ... hopefully by Labor Day, but probably a week or two after.
CleanE34 08-15-2007, 05:48 PM you live on long island? me too!. what county you in? and nice wagon, always wanted a wagon.
CleanE34 08-15-2007, 05:49 PM also. if you are planning to swap out rims and sell those throwing stars, i'll take em off your hands.
Low Level 08-15-2007, 06:12 PM you live on long island? me too!. what county you in? and nice wagon, always wanted a wagon.
Yeah, I do --- I'm right on the border of Nassau + Suffolk.
Thanks for the good words!
Sorry, no, I won't be getting rid of the wheels. I like 'em too much :D
e24mpwr 08-15-2007, 08:45 PM Awesome Touring! I was seriously tempted, but isn't in the cards for me financially right now. You clearly got a great, well kept and unique vehicle from a good guy - hard to beat that!
I'll have to settle for my buddy's E39 528 5-speed touring when he picks up his next car in a couple years.
Glad it got an enthusiast home!
CleanE34 08-15-2007, 09:01 PM Yeah, I do --- I'm right on the border of Nassau + Suffolk.
