I purchased the plastic window kit from eBay and will be attempting to replace the rear window in my 89 E30 tomorrow. Any suggestions? Any idea how difficult this is to do with 2 people working? How long? Anyone had success with this repair? Thanks!

Do a search for emiata.
His site has a great DIY page.

Have you attempted to clean it first? There's a great write-up in the stickies about Plastic Polish...I did mine and it's night and day difference...

sounds like a stitched in model...ick, I would take it to an upholstery shop.

replace it on a cool day and have someone help you from the inside, use a butter knife to separate the window from the vert top's fabric. Good luck

pretty sure he doesn't have the zip in model, and I'm going to say it's much easier to do on a warmer day. Stiff plastic is much harder to work on. Emiata says warm day, direct sunlight I believe.

Try a case of good beer, maybe a couple of joints.
