The only flaw in the whole car that I know of other than normal wear is some slight wear (rubbing) on the driver's seat bolster (normal for a BMW) and a 4 inch crack in the dead center (by rear view mirror) of the windshield from a rock strike on the highway and I had this repaired though to prevent spreading to other areas but it is still visible.

Car History:
I purchased the car in March, 2002 on a BMW Buyer's Option Plan. The car was a lease return to BMW of Houston North from the original owner residing here in Houston. The car also came with a CPO Certification and Warranty from BMW. The warranty will be honored through 100,000 miles or until January, 2005 which is the 7 year date of was originally delivered. This warranty is honored at any BMW dealer with a $50 co-pay per visit. I use this car as my daily driver (30 mile commute every weekday - not too much joyriding with a 1 year old at home) but it has been meticulously maintained by me since I took ownership.

Here is a list of maintenance items and warranty repairs performed while I have had the car which I have all receipts for your personal review.

May 2002 - Inspection II service, replaced all 4 brake pads and rotors, brake/coolant fluid flush and replaced belts. ($1,225.62)

April 2002 - Replaced both rear shock mounts under warranty. $50.00
<br>
October 2002 - Replaced all 4 tires balanced/mounted with new Kuhmo Ecsta 712 Z-Rated Radials. $639.53
<br>
October 2002 - Had 4 wheel alignment performed after replacing tires. $62.95
<br>
January 2002 - Oil and Lube Service $67.50
<br>
January 2002 - Had brake light switch and windshield washer pump replaced under CPO warranty. $50.00

I have not autocrossed, modded or raced this car in events. It is a 100% stock automobile with all the factory installed equipment and a small BMW car seat anchor hook for my son's car seat I installed on the right side of the parcel panel.

I must get a least payoff value on the car to make a deal. It is currently priced at $26,000.

I see you live out in Sugarland. I am up North in The Woodlands. I am asking $27,000 because the payoff on my Buyer's Option Lease is $26,895. I need to at least get the payoff on the car to let it go right now.

Just an update. My payoff value has dropped to $26,500 on my loan after this months payments. I will consider any offer close to this number.

Heading out to the Houston BMWCCA Autocross tomorrow morning if anyone is interested in the car and wants to see it in the flesh.

You are leasing that BMW, what makes you think you can sell it? you can only terminate the lease early or swap lease with someone else. you can find someone to take over your lease but thats legally very risky.

Sorry for the confusion but the car is not on a traditional lease so I can retail the car out to a new owner. I am making payments to own the car on BMW's Owner's Choice Retail plan . This BMW Financial payment plan is only avaliable to buyer's in Texas and Illinois. Basically you make payments on the car for 3 years and then pay a balloon at the end or refinance the residual. It's a very flexible plan that keeps your monthly payments lower and gives you more freedom than a traditional lease. I can't tell you why they don't allow this in other states though. :dunno I cannot consider letting someone assume the payments I want to be free and clear of the car. With my wife loosing her job we are forced to sell both vehicles to maybe get into used vehicles with lower payments. Sign of the economic times I am afraid.

I work for a living thank you very much. I am a Software Engineer here in Houston. Having two car payments on our plate right now is not in the budget with her loosing her job due to layoff. We both are college educated (She has a BA in Business and I have BS in Computer Science). We have a 1 year old son. She is going to be staying home with our son as long as we can afford it as if this is any of your damn business. If I where to be layed off I would do the same until I found gainful employment. If your not interested in the car then move yourself on to another thread.
