That's all I can seem to find you posting about. :confused :D No on free shipping, No on Group Buy. Sorry, our prices are already WAY lower than everyone else. We don't have that much margin built into our prices to be able to offer huge discounts whenever you want. If you want overpriced BMW parts... well... don't look at Vorshlag. We already sell a lot of wheel stud kits every day - because we have offer a great product at a very fair price. Thanks! :) Fair 08-20-2007, 10:40 AM I already have the studs on my car but, two of them are stripped. Can I buy just 5 of the 60mm studs? Also, I would like a set of the black lug nuts as well. In addition to complete wheel stud kits, we have studs and lugs priced individually on our website: http://www.vorshlag.com/cart/index.php?cPath=1_4_33 Our shopping cart calculates shipping quicker than I can. :D You can do a mock order and get the shipping amount before entering cc info, and shipping is shown several ways (ground, 2day, 3 day, overnight, etc) for both USPS and UPS. Thanks, Cracker1 08-20-2007, 12:05 PM Thanks Fair, I will be ordering the parts today. Dave old skool 08-20-2007, 03:48 PM I was just hoping I could get enough interest to produce sets of the competition studs without the long shoulder that requires a 5mm spacer.... sogood 08-20-2007, 05:27 PM What is the advantage of running a stud conversion kit over normal lug nuts? BraveUlysses 08-20-2007, 05:31 PM Normal threaded lugs are not allowed by many racing bodies because you cannot visually tell if they are fully engaged. Also, if you crossthread a threaded lugnut you will have a much worse time fixing it than compared to a crossthreaded stud. old skool 08-20-2007, 07:07 PM As well as the above statements, there is also the ability to run any number of wheel and spacer combos easily. Otherwise you would need different length lug bolts. Also, it is much easier to set the wheel on the studs and then torque the nuts on than it is to try to hold the wheel in place and set the lug bolts. Also, if you get the nicer studs, you have a lead in for the nut so it is harder to cross thread the studs. Even if you do, it is much easier to replace them than it would be to replace an entire hub. Even if you do, it is much easier to replace them than it would be to replace an entire hub. +1 to old skool's info. Also, along the lines of what BraveUlysses wrote, there is also the repetitive wear on the hub holes. With wheel bolts, each removal/re installation puts wear and tear on the threaded holes in the wheel hubs vs wearing the threads on replaceable wheel studs. Replacing a stripped or worn wheel hub is much more expensive and difficult than replacing wheel studs. http://www.vorshlag.smugmug.com/photos/70161008-S.jpg And as any wheel stud manufacturer will tell you that with repeated/competition use, replacing wheel studs every 2-3 years is a good idea. Also, don't forget to use anti-seize. Reapply a dab of anti-seize every 3-9 months to avoid gall and to ensure proper torque readings. :) SpeedTheory 08-21-2007, 10:49 AM It also makes removal/install of wheels much easier. Between this, an impact gun, and a low-profile jack or a lift, you'll find working on your car to be a much quicker affair. |
