What size screw does that take? I want to perhaps mount an amp or deck box using those since there's 1 on each side.

That is to mount a j-hook so that the body bag when put in the trunk doesnt move around.

FYI - they are 5/16".

ya know, i just made an amp mount using those holes and i couldn't bet money i'd even remember what size they were. i do know their original purpose is support for a child seat. seen here (http://www.realoem.com/bmw/showparts.do?model=BF93&mospid=47486&btnr=72_0204&hg=72&fg=05&hl=56) as #8.
